Cannonway Consultants, one of Hong Kong’s leading consultants to the construction industry, has been awarded a contract to provide contractual, commercial and quantity surveying services on an EPC contract in Australia.
Our client, the leading Main Contractor JV partner, has been awarded the Front-End Engineering and Design ("FEED") Services for the Onshore component of the Ichthys Project to be developed by INPEX Browse, Ltd and its Joint Venture Participant Total E&P Australia.
The project is a Feed gas to the LNG facility will be delivered by pipeline from the Ichthys Field 850 kilometers west-southwest of Darwin. LNG production is for export to markets in Japan and elsewhere. As operator of the Ichthys Joint Venture, INPEX regards the Ichthys Project to be of key importance from the standpoint of Japan’s energy security. The scope of the JV’s services includes FEED services for the LNG Plant and Utility, Off-site, Marine Facility and associated infrastructure. The annual capacity of the facility when operational is expected to be in excess of 8 million tons of LNG, approx. 1.6 million tons of LPG and approx.100,000 barrels of condensate per day.
INPEX have indicated that development of the project will require capital expenditure in excess of US$20 billion, and the first shipment of LNG is scheduled for 2015.
