Cannonway Gain Major Contract with Government for Expert Services on Mediation
Cannonway Consultants is one of Hong Kong’s longest established and leading firms of contracts consultants and quantity surveyors and project managers to the construction industry.
They have recently been awarded a contract by the Hong Kong Government, appointed as experts to provide an independent opinion on the quantum and programming issues relating to a number of disputes on a project involving civil and E&M works for a new sewage treatment plant, trunk sewers and effluent export pipeline. This is a major project with a contract value in the region of HK$235 million. There are a number of issues in dispute between the Government department concerned and the main contractor for the project, and these disputes are now the subject of a mediation. Cannonway have been tasked with providing independent expert reports in support of the mediation, utilizing their wealth of technical and practical experience at senior and director level to analyse the disputed items and provide their opinion on the quantum and programming issues involved, and to give a risk assessment of these issues.
