Chris Morgan Wins Further DRA Appointment
Chris Morgan, Managing Director of Cannonway Consultants, has been appointed as the Dispute Resolution Advisor for Highways Contract No. HY/2004/09, Improvements to San Tin Interchange. The contractor is Chun Wo Construction & Engineering Co. Ltd.. The contract is in a heavily trafficked area adjacent to the Lok Ma Chau border crossing, and is intended to improve traffic flow in this area. It is understood that this is one of the first projects on which the Hong Kong Highways Department has used Dispute Resolution Advisors, and this is part of a pilot scheme by Highways Department on the use of Dispute Resolution Advisor.
The role of the Dispute Resolution Advisor is to work with the parties as a neutral member of the team to ensure that disputes do not arise, or if disputes should arise, to assist with their resolution.
